A joiner by trade Eryl Rhyddwyn Jones served for 7 years with the Royal Engineers. During the Korean War he was taken prisoner by the Chinese. Despite being wounded twice he survived to return home to Wrexham.
Eryl Rhyddwyn Jones died 2nd March 2005 and is buried at Wrexham Cemetery. His beloved wife Edna Gwyneth died 30th April 2016 and is buried with Eryl.
